The floor of the Langdale Valley is four miles long and in some places up to a mile wide, so you don't have to climb a mountain to get the best of the views. If fact, some of the most popular walks in the valley feature very little climbing at all. They can be be done all year round and require that you carry the minimum of basic safety equipment.
